I am a Freelance Graphic Designer based in the wonderful, vibrant and creative Grahamstown, South Africa. I studied at the University of Stellenbosch where I finished my BA degree in Visual Communication (2009).
Since then I have gained experience in various areas of graphic design. From magazine layout to website design, website development and packaging.
Before I moved to Grahamstown I worked in Cape Town for two years where I gained vast experience in magazine design while working for the well-known South African company, Foschini.
Since then I have worked as a freelance designer specialising in various areas of design including logo development, packaging, website design and development, illustration, wedding stationary, magazine design, brochures, business cards, brand identity and more. So far my time as a freelancer has been a humbling and worthwhile experience.
I also have a passion for illustration, which I practice in my free time. I love creating characters (see Unfortunate Inheritance) and started to experiment with paper as my medium. I have a series called Advancing Backwards where I customize family Coat of arms.
I believe, that for a graphic designer the process is always the most important part. From mind to paper to computer. Reworking it and molding the artwork until it is what the client wants and ultimately cannot go without. That is what I love doing.
